Professional Installation Guidelines

Proper installation is crucial for the effectiveness and longevity of speed breakers

Pre-Installation Checklist

Survey the installation site for underground utilities
Mark the exact placement locations
Ensure the road surface is clean and dry
Gather required tools and hardware
Check local regulations for speed breaker placement

Installation Steps

01

Positioning

Place the speed breaker sections in the desired location. Ensure proper alignment and spacing between sections. Standard spacing between speed breakers should be 10-15 meters for effective speed control.

02

Marking

Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes in the speed breaker. Use a marker or chalk to indicate exact drilling locations on the road surface.

03

Drilling

Drill holes at the marked points using a masonry drill bit appropriate for the road surface material. Hole depth should be 50-75mm depending on the anchor type used.

04

Anchoring

Insert appropriate anchors (expansion bolts for concrete, wedge anchors for asphalt). Ensure anchors are flush with or slightly below the surface.

05

Securing

Place the speed breaker over the anchors and secure with washers and nuts. Tighten firmly but avoid over-tightening which may damage the material.

06

Testing

Test the installation by driving over the speed breaker at low speed. Check for any movement or noise. Tighten further if necessary.

Recommended Tools

Power drill with masonry bits
Hammer
Wrench set
Level
Measuring tape
Cleaning brush

Maintenance Tips

Inspect monthly for loose bolts or damage
Clean regularly to maintain reflectivity
Tighten bolts as needed
Replace damaged sections promptly
Reapply reflective paint if faded
